Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate with kids! There are so many fun ideas to create and try. We love making and sending valentines to our family and friends. This year we made crayon resist watercolor valentines – an idea I found from The Artful Parent.
Supplies Needed (These links are affiliate links; I earn from qualifying purchases).
- white crayon
- watercolor paper or other thick white paper (I highly recommend using watercolor paper!)
- Watercolors (we used liquid watercolors)
I cut my paper to a 4×5 size and drew the heart on the paper with the white crayon. The kids did the rest! They loved seeing the heart appear. I was in a hurry and stuck with the simple single heart, but older kids would have fun writing or drawing other designs or messages.
